Research Institute of Radiological Science
Welcome to RIRS
RIRS conducts research to improve diagnostic and therapeutic accuracy with the use of various imaging modalities, materials, and information. The institute consists of three research sections: functional imaging, imaging and information, and materials and instrumentation. The functional imaging section does basic and clinical research on various disease entities using various clinical and experimental imaging modalities such as MRI, CT, DSA, CR, US, SPECT, and PET. The imaging and Information section do basic and applied research in imaging informatics including standardization of imaging, analysis, and report, data collection and communication, and Radiomics. The materials and instrumentation section do research on developing contrast media, diagnostic and therapeutic materials, imaging modalities.
